The Chelsea School Committee ratifies the Unit A Collective Bargaining Agreement MOA thereby approving the new contract.

Unit A (Teachers’ Unit) ratifies the Collective Bargaining Agreement MOA by a 92 to 19 percent margin and now awaits the School Committee’s vote.

Elections took place at Chelsea High school for the 2015-2017 building representative openings. Congratulations to Jillian Jacobs, Andrew Milmore & Brendan Sargent!
September 26, 2015:
CTU officers and a few building reps attended the American Federation of Teachers Massachusetts Leadership Conference in Westborough, MA.
September 16, 2015:
New building representatives were nominated at our General Membership meeting. In the cases where nominees were unopposed, the Vice President submitted one vote and the nominees were automatically elected as building representatives. The current list can be found on our CTU Officers page.
June 1, 2015:
Paraprofessional and Clerk Contracts were ratified.
Contracts will now go to School Committee for final approval.

January 2015:
The Executive Board of the Chelsea Teachers Union #1340 proposes a constitutional amendment change to be discussed at the January 21st Membership Meeting.
Change to Article IV, Section 1 to read:
Section 1 – The following officers shall be elected to a two year term by the Union:
- President
- Vice President
- Paraprofessional Vice-Presidents (2)
- Clerical Vice-President
- Treasurer
- Secretary
